Sandy: I respect your right to your opinions but I don't have to respect those opinions. I have the same rights (which your father -- not you -- gave his life for). I am not particularly arguing that "this particular war" is "good" or "right". All wars are a stupid and an animal way to settle disputes. But in the absence of people coming to a common understanding on morality issues (in religion, for instance) this is what we are stuck with. And since we are stuck with this stupid way of handing disputes and since we (including all parties of the world) haven't yet come to a common understanding and respectful attitude toward others, making wars is still the de facto way of doing this stupid business. I will not stand by and let fanatics kill me and my people at random as long as we cannot sit down and peacefully solve our mutual problems without putting our "six shooters" on the table.

What continues to astonish me, is that the powers-that-be seem to learn nothing from all the wars that have taken place, the dreadful cost in lost lives destroyed environment, destroyed families. And all that money wasted.

we got her from a family that was trying to downsize, they had too many dogs, they said that she was a trucker's dog that found her tied to a tree, she's got a major fear of being tied up

yes, my husband told me that's what she was but i wasn't sure, thanks for telling me. i can't wait to tell my hubby, he's going to be happy he was right. she is the best dog ever, very good guard dog and she behaves most of the time. lately she's been jumping the fence so i have her in the house while we're at work and she doesn't tear things up.

Hi Sandy,
Sorry I took so long to respond. I am not quite getting the ping thing.:) Also, it's been a rough work week. I am finally getting a chance to do some creative things.
Your writing is always at the top of my list.:)

Thanks for the message - and thanks for sharing your premie story - hearing your granddaughter's health and your great grandson's perseverance is uplifting. It's good to know others went through and made it okay.

Thanks, Sandy! First pick? I didn't know that--was that in an article somewhere?
